Rural Healthcare Developers, Inc., headquartered in Tupelo, MS., manages, leases and owns rural hospitals and several inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units in Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and Louisiana.

Rural Healthcare Developers, Inc. is a Mississippi corporation with Ray L. Shoemaker as the sole stockholder. The company staff is comprised of management, development and clinical professionals experienced in hospital and medical facility operations.

Ray Shoemaker has earned a successful and prestigious reputation in healthcare.† In 2006 he was named to the ìUp and Comersî list of healthcare executives under age 40 by Modern Healthcare magazine.

The rural communities in which RHD provides its expertise in fiscal and clinical management range from the foothills of middle Tennessee to the lowlands of southwest Louisiana and throughout the cotton fields of the Mississippi Delta. Each community has its own special needs and each facility has unique challenges of providing medical services in the changing face of local and national economies.

Since its incorporation, RHD has acquired two rural hospitals, holds long-term leases to three hospitals, is reestablishing a closed hospital and owns and manages inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units across four southeastern states.

A hallmark of RHDís management and financial philosophy is fielding community education personnel surrounding each facility to promote medical services among area referral sources to provide sustaining levels of patient care thus creating reliable revenue streams.
